Qualified pre-natal and post-natal practice, through pregnancy and the months that follow. Adapted to the week you are in, not the trimester in general.
A standard class with the hard parts removed is not pre-natal yoga. This is built differently.
“My lower back has started to complain.”
The most common thing mothers arrive with, and often the one that responds fastest.
“I can't find a comfortable way to sleep.”
Positions that worked last month stop working this month. There are better ones.
“I want to stay active but I'm afraid of doing harm.”
Reasonable. A qualified teacher who adapts around your doctor's advice removes most of that worry.
“I've had the baby and I don't know where to start.”
Post-natal rebuilding has an order to it. Starting in the wrong place is how people get hurt.
Poonam holds professional qualifications in both pre-natal and post-natal yoga. She adapts around whatever your doctor has advised, and she will say plainly when something is outside what she should be doing.
Pre-natal and post-natal work is one-to-one, so it can be adapted properly.
Every pregnancy is different, so this is a rough shape rather than a plan.
How the pregnancy is going, what your doctor has said, what is uncomfortable, and what you would like to be able to do.
The most common complaints tend to ease within a few sessions. Sleep positions often improve at the same time.
What suited month four will not suit month eight. The practice is rewritten as you go, which is why it is one-to-one.
Poonam is a qualified pre-natal and post-natal teacher, not a medical professional. She works alongside your doctor's guidance, never instead of it. If you have a complication, bring that advice and she will build around it.
Message Poonam with where you are in your pregnancy, and she will tell you what a first session would look like.
